On an early November morning I saw clear skies ahead and drove off for a fine day in Västra Götaland, to visit a megalithic site, and as it happen also some of the beautiful sites along the way.

Went out to find good spots for photo sessions, and this medieval fort ruin, called Ragnhildsholmen, was great. Ragnhildsholmen belong to Norway around 1250’s when it was built. Sweden won over the whole region in 1658 in The Roskilde Peace Treaty negotiations.

There are almost 60 000 tombstones (monoliths) like these in Bosnia & Herzegovina, called stećci. These ones in Radimlja are easy to visit, being just 3 km near Stolac. Otherwise many of them are located on high altitudes and in forests.
We landed in Zadar and checked into a fine room in the old town. We had planned to spend two nights in Zadar and two nights in Split before getting to Mostar. That would leave us with at least one full day in both of those beautiful Dalmatian old towns.
As always we travel to places when they are out of season. This time we headed to Öland in late March and early April, and despite sunny days it was chilly and always windy.
The annual Göteborg Film Festival has began for 2016 with over 450 films to choose from all in all. Every year they have a focus, this years it’s on Italy so there’s more than a dozen special film from there.

During the day these streets always have people, locals and tourists. Even during my nightly visit there was music coming from a café that should’ve had closed but kept open where friends hung around.

A must visit if you’re in or around Mostar is the medieval small town of Počitelj, as it is less than a half an hour drive away. The town was founded in 1383 by the Bosnian king Stjepan Tvrtko I and was within the Kingdom of Bosnia until the Ottoman finally succeeded in conquering Bosnia (read more in this post –
First Baby Flight
We had our first flight with our baby, a short one straight from Gothenburg to Mostar. The airport stay and flight went fast and also having a baby let’s you pass the line,
