Psychopathic, Violent and Degenerate Series Like Game of Thrones and Vikings etc…

Here is why I quit watching Game of Thrones, Vikings and similar series. A series that has more than 3 seasons lives a dangerous life, few make it the whole way through and sustain the quality, the depth and excitement. I got into the series after they already had passed season 2 so I caught up with them, because of the praise people had for them. What I liked about Vikings was the imaginative portrayal  of how life was at that time; even the loose historical references made up for further studies about various historical events and persons from that time. With Game of Thrones I enjoyed the fantasy aspect of it, the castles and medieval milieu. Unfortunately both series began and never quit their psychopathic, violent and story-drained path. Where every event resulted in a backstabbing, cheating, close up shots of evil and manipulative eyes and facial expressions combined with sinister ambushes and prolonged violent and bloody scenes.

The only “twist” in these series, if I even allow there to be one, is that after some seasons, the evil character eventually realizes their wrongdoings and sort of becomes the new sympathetic character for the gullible viewers.

I think there is a reason for this and I think it has to do with subliminal programming of the mass audience, and the endless amounts of people watching these shows. Audiences that consider the series to be the best thing that was ever made on TV. I pity that, because there is no story line and the jargong is basically about someone wanting power and who will go to the furthest lengths to achieve some simplistic power goal. The only “twist” in these series, if I even allow there to be one, is that after some seasons, the evil character eventually realizes their wrongdoings and sort of becomes the new sympathetic character for the gullible viewers. Other than that, it’s always, blood, power, violence. Which is a shame, because both Vikings and Game of Thrones have (or had) elements of magic, fantasy and something unique and inspirational that got lost – I’m thinking of Brian with special powers and the Nordic myths and legends.

A good example of a series that combines adequate violence, manipulation, fantasy, imagination, deeper conflicts and magical/divine concepts is Battlestar Galactica 2004-2009Vikings and Game of Thrones have no end or bigger picture that awaits. Who will be the king? Is that all? It’s all simpleton-minded who-manipulated-who concept and with nothing beautiful, nothing to remember and refer to. You have to wonder if they are the same series in latter seasons as from the first – both in Vikings and Game of  Thrones the initial heavyweight characters died. So the series are left with so many new faces and twists that it’s no longer a storyline – but a continuum of simplistic off-with-their-heads-drama.

So what is the point of all this psychopathic behavior? Of all these evil camera angles and low saturated close ups where evil characters do sinister things? It’s simple really, it’s to numb the viewers down, to feed their passive hunger for violence. To focus on the series and never mind the real people getting killed, to subliminally program them into accepting the psychopathic behavior. To be honest, I’m disgusted when people have sick violent scenes in their living room and just sit there, like nothing. Just getting feed with the imagery they will never understand the deeper effect of.

Sociopathic violence in 'Game of Thrones'.

Psychopaths rule this world, the only difference now compared to what is portrayed in the series is that it’s cleaner. It’s dressed up and the battles, the liquidations of rivals is hidden. Even when it’s exposed, it fails to grab the attention of people. The leaders of our nations walk over bodies and anyone who gets in their way, just like in the series. Even if it has been like that and will be for a time to come; internet allows us to access information even more, but also for people to dwell deeper into the psychopathic subliminal programming of their precious series.

Have people become so simple and numb in their cultural thirst that they must have the explicit and sick to even bother watching?

These series got criticism for their sexual content in the first one or two seasons, and they toned down that in the comings seasons noticeably. The rape scenes disappeared and the nudity was drastically reduced. At the end of the day, why would you want to feed yourself with overdoses of the bloody violence portrayed in these series? After 6 seasons there is nothing happening besides more and more frequent deaths. I really wish there came to popularity some good series, something that doesn’t require reptile brain activity regression among the viewers to be enjoyed. Have people become so simple and numb in their cultural thirst that they must have the explicit and sick to even bother watching?

I feel vikings goes too far and relishes in unneeded violence but to say these shows lack story or strong character development is not true. Game of thrones is based off a series of books! The story for the most part has been mapped out for anyone who has read the novels. To say game of thrones isn’t story driven is ridiculous.

Hello! I think it’s not, as the story is very simple and basically involves who’s gonna lose their head. You are missing the point from this post. It’s not about the story, but how the story is embedded. I’m talking about the TV versions, never minding the books. Depends on what you demand from a story in the end. I find the story line to be simplistic and embedded with subliminal reptile-brain feedback of emotions. A good contrasting example would be the series Battlestar Galactica, not the original, the “modern” one as I mentioned in the post. Vikings, Game of Thrones and Western World are too embedded in “psychopathicism”. /All the best

Hollywood-type production shows, or more correctly, their largely (((tribal))) and/or atheist, leftist, etc. writers, show-runners and executive producers, will push as far as the audience will allow. That is the nature of how they run and have ran the business. Look at how US-produced shows (and movies) have changed from say, the 1950s, until now. Each decade, the line was pushed a bit further in terms of egregious content, mostly in the name of viewer “liberation” or today, “political correctness”, what ever that means. I don’t see it as much different than the psychopathic media today, only as an extension. Of course, that’s not to say that every show is like that, but certainly the ones most advertised, if not initially then at some point in their run.

      Hi,
Every show and industry has its powerful gatekeepers, so yes, one can by looking at who runs the gatekeeping business se it black-on-white who’s the gatekeeper. The current focus and push on violence, murder, death and sexual details and sexual perversions in mainstream production was unconceivable in the past. Just as the deconstruction of values so did even CIA work to promote modern art, like Jackson Pollock et al. CIA admitted that in the end and justified it by saying it was to prove the Soviets how hip the West is. But I figure it’s far from the truth as the abnormal state of modern art and pop culture is so degenerate and still goes on, getting more extreme by the year – that there is a more sinister agenda in all that. I’m wondering where it will go next? How much more extreme and twisted can it get? I would also like to add all leftists, atheists are not the Hollywood version – the rest of the world makes good films but they are always limited in resources and promotion. So while some may not see it, there is always the true art, beauty and even experimental art worth it’s name out there.

You do realise that the Vikings TV are based on true stories from medieval times when it was kill or be killed, so you saying it is bad because has a lot of elements of “blood and violence” when the Vikings were actually like that, is EXTREMELY closed minded. You say you “pity” us for thinking they are the best series of all time, because of your opinion doesn’t agree with ours, you are the true definition of self righteous. It’s mental to think anyone would agree with your narrow minded views of these shows. In my opinion, I love Vikings because it gives you a glance of what humans are truly are like and what we are capable of, good AND evil, you have to understand evil to be a good person, you can’t just repress that and hide away from it like you are saying, have a good day self righteous one.

Yes and I’m familiar with the history of the Vikings, Anglo Saxon settlers in England, Goths establishing civilizations around Europe. Before you get too triggered, think about how many series have excessive blood and violence. Have you ever asked why it’s like that? Who really releases those shows? Or if you’ll watch the excessive violent series for the rest of your life? Will you ever get feed up? Have you even pondered what that does for our human collective subconsciousness? You sound like someone who’s never seen any real violence nor blood besides on the screen. I wish you never will do either. If you’re so interested, go and talk to veterans from various wars – that is if you’re interested in the real deal and not the Hollywood version. Maybe then you’ll see examples of real evil, and real sacrifice. /All the Best

Well if you’re familiar with the history of Vikings, then why are you saying the “blood and violence” aspect of it makes the show bad, when in reality it has historical accuracy, because the Vikings were ruthless killers and that is what the series shows. You sound like a special snowflake who can’t take any violence what so ever, like I said previous, you have to understand the dark side of human nature to be a good person, because then you can differentiate between good and evil. I have witness some fights in my life, but what’s your point? I can see the difference between real violence and violence on shows, but still what’s your point? Another thing, Vikings nor Game of Thrones is Hollywood. At the end of the day humans are great apes and we are very much still animals, Vikings shows our true nature, same with Game of Thrones.

Dear Elliot, you’re the triggered snowflake because you obviously can’t taste any other opinion regarding what you like, without whining. Did you find out today or yesterday that wars and history is full of suffering and blood? You keep repeating that like it’s flash news to you. Apparently you feel like you know all about the dark side of human nature – because you saw a series with fake blood in it. Will you learn more about the dark side if you watch 10 more series with fake blood? Or is just one enough? I agree that we must understand one side to grasp the other, of course. The point of the post went over your head that’s for sure. It’s about the repetitive storylines, scenes and emotions the shows trigger, and why that is implanted in our subconsciousness. I’m guessing you’re young and have never seen series from the past, so what’s out there today is all you’ve ever known. That’s why your head can’t accept the critique of the excessive violence. You seem unable to grasp that critique of excessive violence doesn’t imply rejection nor denial of violence. People who’ve seen real violence, wars and suffering tend not to watch fake blood shows. Maybe you need that dramatic music to simpletonian dramatic fighting scenes in order to sustain attention? Maybe that’s the way you’re programmed by the media you consume. But, if that makes people more interested in real history, that’s fine and for the better. There’s no merit for your toughness because you sit at home and watch fake blood. Medieval brutality didn’t need series to understand that side of human nature. It’s obvious as you repeat the same points. Wanna learn about it all, go and live it. Don’t get imprisoned as a fanboy of some simplistic storylines based loosely on history and then cry out it’s authentic because there’s some fake blood there. The world knows violence whether or not you get triggered by this post or not. The show has a loose historical accuracy, History Channel is not really a good history channel since many years now, it’s entertainment. Owned and run by the same people who run Hollywood – but that’s another topic. /All the Best

Yes, but you’re still a triggered person with low online skills and that’s why your first response was “Deleting my comment proves I’m right and you’re self righteous, pathetic”. You think you’ll get a nice answer when you lash out like that? Act up and think.

You have summed up perfectly what I was thinking. Thank you. I’m so ashamed that I have people among my friends and family who watch this garbage. They have no idea about the damage they are doing to themselves. It says a lot about the persons who watches these shows I have to say. They are numb and have zero feelings for sure!
