The ethno village Äskhults By is a place we go to from time to time. It’s located 40 minutes south of Göteborg a bit inland from the coast and amid a forest and elevated so that you get a beautiful panorama. The village is meant to be as a tourist destination and preservation of long lost Swedish landscapes. During the tourist season there’s a cafeteria, animals of different sorts and you can enter the houses to see how people lived back then. The place has never been too crowded when we’ve visited and off season you get it for yourself. It was the first road trip we did with Florens.
If you are planning to go there, bring something to drink and eat. Nearby you can hike and there’s also a forest camping site if you want have a pick-nick barbecue.

May 31, 2016I currently live in a city with a sandy desert around it, that’s why I miss such grassy areas.
