Gayatri Mantra and Christ – Divine Light Symbolism

The religious meanings all come from some kind of a common source. Like as they dispersed from that essential source into different and rather brutal diversions. Looking at the wonderful Gayatri Mantra we find the word savitur which is too close to the word saviour. So there is a connection with the Gayatri Mantra and Christ. Christ is the saviour in Christianity and you who read this probably already know about the connection between Jesus Christ and the sun. He symbolizes the divine light and the reason Christmas is falsely celebrated as the birth of Christ is because Christianity personified the ancient traditions of celebrating the rebirth of light, during those darkest days in December. So what does savitor mean in the Gayatri Mantra?

Aum
Bhuh Bhuvah Svah
Tat Savitur Varenyam
Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi
Dhiyo Yo nah Prachodayat

~ The Rig Veda (10:16:3)

Savitur means “Divine Sun” (the ultimate light of wisdom) not to be confused with the ordinary sun. – Hinduism.About.com

The sun is everything ever thought, done and ever existed on this planet. It’s all due to the consciousness of the sun. The representation and deeper meaning of the divine sun is parallel to ones awakening. The divine light seen in near death experiences, the light seen and felt in deep compassionate meditative states of mind.

Once again, Jesus Christ as a mythical figure, is a deliverer of the divine light, a messenger and a teacher on that path. But not the light in it self. Because that divine light is the purest form of consciousness and existence, even though its reflections and shadows create the material world.
