The place where the ocean wind meets the land, the place where things sparkle och the wind spares no one.
Always take what you have and do something of it. Zoom lenses for DSLR cameras are very expensive and if you get one, you won’t be carrying it around that much due to the size. So save that money for a photo trip instead. I found an old Soligor 400mm lens some years ago and it fits on to my Nikon D5200 without any adapter. That’s just about the hardest problem with using old analog lenses with DSLR, you might need an adapter and that’s no sweat to find at all. There’s tons of old equipment being sold at flea markets, antique shops and online. The best catch is always the antique shop where the focus is on other stuff so you can bend the price down on vintage lenses and cameras a lot. For me this lens only works to a certain distance when mounted on the DSLR, so about 30 meters maximum, then nothing is in focus. But it works perfect with the analog Konica T3 Autoreflex I have.
