Here’s another stave church from this years last roadtrip in Norway. It’s the Torpo stave church, located in Buskerud on a hillside overlooking the valley below. Beautiful surroundings as always and some extra for the autumn mood. This summer’s road trips have made me compulsive about stopping by every stave church I manage. There are twenty left as can be seen on a photo in the post about Borgund stave church. I wish houses were made in this style with all the modern eco-friendly high tech design on the inside. The wood did absorb and in a strange way reflect the sunlight very intricate and beautiful.
