My woman took me to the museum of things in Berlin, in German Werkbundarchiv – Museum der Dinge. At first I was skeptical to it since I’ve worked some time in the Röhsska museum in Gothenburg – and to a point got fed up with design objects. But I really changed my appetite when we arrived and took a first look in this museum. Even if the concept was of 20th and 21th century product design – this was focused on the everyday stuff mostly. Not just the super expensive stuff one expects but lots of oddities and interesting things. I recommend a visit to the Museum der Dinge, because whatever you’re into you’ll find it there. I left the place with some new ideas and inspiration. There were small details from the past that awaken some synapses in the brain and give birth to new perspectives. Here is a video and you can have a look inside, also photos from the exhibition.
